Note:
Joseph Emory Clark was born in Ryder, North Dakota on July 18, 1916. He lived in North Dakota, Arizona, Nevada, Washington,
and Oregon before settling in Orangevale, California. During World War II Clark served in the United States Army in Italy
and elsewhere in Europe, saw combat in the Battle of the Bulge and other operations, and received a Purple Heart and a Bronze
Combat Medal. After the war he became a Department Manager for Montgomery Wards, retiring in 1979. Clark died on February
4, 1997.
