    Scope and Content

    This small group of papers was transferred to the Manuscripts Division from Archives July 11, 1967. The letters received were in response to one sent out by Professor Mackay, stating Professor Loewenberg's case, to the members of Departments of Philosphy of various colleges and universities, to philosophical organizations and to colleagues. The letters are arranged alphabetically by author or organization. A partial list of correspondents follows.
