Carbon copies of three reports concerning historical sites in San Diego County. One
report is a brief description of San Diego County ranchos with illustrations of the
cattle brand used by each rancho. Another report identifies stands of native palms
throughout the county. A third briefly describes other historical sites such as the
Mission Dam. The collection also includes a copy of San Diego County ordinance 349 (New
Series), which established a County Park Commission; a historical map of San Diego County
showing locations of ranchos, watering places, and native palms; and a carbon typescript
of Winsor Josselyn's "He Flew in 1883," published in Harper's Magazine (Nov. 1930).
Walter Bellon was a San Diego County supervisor and signer of the ordinance establishing
a San Diego County Park Commission.
