Correspondence and diary.
Micajah Littleton was born in Georgia, December 10, 1803. He came to California in 1850. A former Mississippi River steamboater,
he captained steamers on the Sacramento River. He died in Alameda, California, June 13, 1880. His son, Eugene M. Littleton,
died in Sacramento January 6, 1869, aged 23. Another son, James E. Littleton, served from 1864-1866 in Company I, Second Regiment
of Cavalry at Camp Bidwell, California.
