Scope and Contents

Born-digital materials (received in 2011) are closed until screened for sensitive information and processed. Data was captured from 279 computer media elements which contained 1,977 gigabytes of data, 1.179 million files with 315,160 being unique.

Scope and Contents

Four poetry manuscript notebooks (4) covering the years 1977-1993 (with several gaps). ln total there are more than 350 manuscript pages in holograph (presumably first drafts) many of which reveal revisions and corrections. Also included are various inserts including manuscripts, drafts, photographs, notes, mementos, and so forth.

Signed on inside front pastedown "Creeley 400 Fargo Buffalo, NY" May 20, 1977-January 1, 1983. 184 pages of writing plus about 40 insert pages including manuscripts and so forth. This notebook is contained in a brown paper envelope to which Creeley has attached a descriptive fypewritten note dated June 20, 1990. Among the dozens of poems herein are some that appeared in Later, Mirrors, Memory Gardens, and A Calendar.
