    Biographical Note

    American author. Head of the Creative Writing Program at Stanford for many years. The Creative Writing Center was founded in 1946 and was the second degree granting program (after Iowa) in the country.

    Scope and Content

    Primarily incoming correspondence and some outgoing. Includes literary manuscripts by Pauline Bates Alden, Frank Bergon, Neilma Gantner, Mary Jane Moffat, Jack Nisbet, and Nancy Packer.
