Series 4. Photographs

Scope and Contents

In 2023 a large portion of the Clarke papers was reprocessed, particularly the ten boxes of photographs in the collection. These photographs include many of Ruth, Eric and their families as well as historical portraits of their forebears, Ruth's art collection and other examples of Chinese art, jewelry, furniture, sculpture and textile design. There are are also many photographs of northern China, some including the Clarkes and their friends but also many that do not.
