Historical note
The Interdepartmental Ph.D. Program for Neuroscience at UCLA was established in 1967 as one of the first interdisciplinary
pre-doctoral neuroscience programs. As the educational arm of the Brain Research Institute, the Program draws on the research
and teaching expertise of a neuroscience faculty of over 150 individuals, one of the world's largest and most diverse faculties
in this discipline.
