Description
Record Series 654 contains the administrative files of the Interdepartmental Ph.D. Program for Neuroscience at UCLA's Brain Research Institute. Files include draft proposals and correspondence pertaining to the creation of the Interdepartmental Ph.D. Program for Neuroscience at UCLA, committee rosters, and committee correspondence.
Background
The Interdepartmental Ph.D. Program for Neuroscience at UCLA was established in 1967 as one of the first interdisciplinary pre-doctoral neuroscience programs. As the educational arm of the Brain Research Institute, the Program draws on the research and teaching expertise of a neuroscience faculty of over 150 individuals, one of the world's largest and most diverse faculties in this discipline.
