Abstract: Robert S. Conrich was the host at the first meeting of the West Hollywood Incorporation Committee in August 1983, and he volunteered to work temporarily at City Hall after Hollywood achieved cityhood. He was the author of a weekly column on city issues with the Post Newspaper Group, questioning the policies of the new city government. The collection consists of files of Robert S. Conrich related to the founding and first years of the city of West Hollywood, California. Includes subjects and organizations such as animal control, the Brown Act, elections, Gay and Lesbian Association (GALA), homeless, housing, Neighborhood Action Groups (NAG), social services, transient occupancy tax, and unions.
