Description
Martha Padve was involved in the Southern California art community as a trustee of the Pasadena Art Museum (1967-74), co-chairman
for the building fund for the Norton Simon Museum of Art (1968-70), chairman of the Pasadena Planning Commission (1973-81),
developer of the education program at the Museum of Contemporary Art (1984-86), funding chairman for the Southern California
Fellows of Contemporary Art (1976-78) and a member of the advisory committee for the University of Southern California Art
Galleries (1976-82). The collection consists of personal papers related to Padve's involvement in the Pasadena Art Museum
and the local Southern California art community.
