Description
The Luella J. Hall collection contains materials for her teaching of Geography and History (primarily of Latin American, International, and Amerindian Studies) at Hartnell Junior College, including syllabi and extensive newspaper clippings.
Background
Luella J. Hall (1890-) was a professor of Geography and History at Hartnell Junior College in Salinas, California (c1937-1960). Although she received a Ph.D. from Stanford University for a dissertation on U.S. Moroccan relations, Hall's principal teaching assignments at Hartnell seem to have been: Latin America, International Relations, and Amerindians. Over some twenty years, with the help of her students, she amassed the large clippings files pertaining to these topics which constitute the bulk of the Luella J. Hall collection.
