Description
Collection consists of various versions of scripts for soap operas such as "The Bold And The Beautiful," "Days Of Our Lives," and "The Young And The Restless." Also includes production material and correspondence.
Background
William and Lee Phillip Bell were born and raised in Chicago, IL; the couple married in 1954; William J. began his writing career (1956) on "Guiding Light," wrote for "As The World Turns," co-created "Another World" (1964) with Irna Phillips, and began writing for "Days Of Our Lives" (1966); he is executive producer, co-creator and head writer for both "The Bold And The Beautiful" and "The Young And The Restless"; Lee Bell graduated Northwestern Univ. with a BS in Microbiology, 1950; she began hosting her own afternoon talk show (1954) and went on to co-create "The Bold And The Beautiful" and "The Young And The Restless"; she is the recipient of numerous awards and is president of Bell-Phillip TV Productions.
