The Native Daughters of the Golden West was established to preserve historic landmarks and lore. Ivy Parlor No. 88 (Lodi, Calif.) was founded (1896) through efforts of Joaquin Parlor No. 5 (Stockton, Calif.).

$aThe Native Daughters of the Golden West, Ivy Parlor (Lodi, Calif.) Collection consists of two scrapbooks of clippings describing activities of Ivy Parlor No.88 of Native Daughters of the Golden West, Lodi, Calif. (1896-1957).

 

BOX 1: NATIVE DAUGHTERS SCRAPBOOKS

 

1.1: SCRAPBOOK #1, 1896-1946 [Mostly clippings dating from 1930s. Some chronicle events pertaining to national organization, Joaquin Parlor and Ivy Parlor. Events described include initiations, installations, conventions and the like. Other clippings relate details of local community and regional history.]

 

1.2: SCRAPBOOK #2, 1937-1957 [In addition to clippings, this scrapbook contains some photographs and a program of Ivy Parlor's U.S. Bicentennial celebration (1976).]
