Scope and Content

Studio portraits of early members of the Berkeley Club (1873), and of founders, officials, or board members of the California Institution for the Deaf and Blind in Berkeley and San Francisco. Other individuals may be friends, family, or other associates. Letters are responses from persons from whom portraits were solicited, chiefly dated 1886.

Items :1-:64 are cabinet card photographs and :65-:77 are cartes de visite.
