Ledger, dating 1711-1757connected with shipping trade in the New World, recording particularly profits of ship Mermaid and sailings to Virginia and the Indies. Detailed trading with names: Benj'm. Robinson, William Woodford, Thos. Montague, Rev'd. Owen Jones, Hy Robinson, Reuben Walsh, Chas. Gryme, Thos. Griffin of Rappahannock River, Va. and of trade with people in St. Christopher, Barbados, Bilboa, Bayonne, Bengal. There are also detailed accounts of ship refitting, purchases of tobacco, rum, sugar and books from Va. Timothy [Ganer?] was master of the Mermaid which sailed from Liverpool and Whitehaven.
