SERIES ONE: ENGINEERING RECORDS, 1873-

Scope and Content Note

The engineering records consist of correspondence and reports of engineers and surveyors mostly concerning possible routes over the Tehachapi Mountains. Included are documents relating to the "California Main Line Railroad," a proposed trans-Tehachapi scheme of the 1920s, the San Francisco & San Joaquin Valley Railway, and other portions of the Santa Fe System. Records are hand and type-written, carbon copies and photocopies. This series is not yet fully processed.
 

SERIES TWO: STATION AGENT'S MONTHLY REPORTS, 1931-1955

Physical Description: 1 volume

Scope and Content Note

This copybook contains numerous carbon tissues of various Santa Fe forms completed by the Capron, Oklahoma, station agent between 1931 and 1935. Forms include:
  • Monthly balance sheet passenger account
  • Monthly report of grain doors
  • Statement of uncollected freight bills
  • Report of freight bills made ...
  • Report of milk and cream waybills issued
  • Monthly freight report
  • Monthly report of interline ticket sales
  • Monthly report of demurrage assessed

This scrapbook appears to be a proof book of Santa Fe Dining Car Service, Fred Harvey menus issued between November 21, 1918 and August 1, 1920. Includes menus for unidentified trains (62), The California Limited (172) and a Texaco Company Special Train, Chicago to Texas oil fields, November 1919 (3). The menus are glued onto the pages of the scrapbook.
