Rosenberg was born on October 17, 1916 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; came to the U.S. in 1917 and became a citizen in 1923;
BA (1938), MA (1950), UCLA; Certificate in Librarianship, UC Berkeley, 1940; worked as a librarian, Los Angeles County Public
Library, 1942-45; librarian (1945-57), bibliographical assistant to librarian (1957-61), lecturer (1961-73), senior lecturer
in library and information science (1973-77), and senior lecturer emeritus, beginning in 1977, UCLA; publications include:
The Romance of Book Collecting (1978),
Booked for Murder (1979),
Bibliomania, or Bound to Kill (1981),
Genreflecting : a Guide to Reading Interests in Genre Fiction (1982) and
The Letter Killeth: Three Bibliographical Essays for Bibliomaniacs (1982).
