Scope and Content Note

Covering departure for Italy at the conclusion of his consular tour of duty in England and residence in Italy. One page of accounts at the end. Entries for August 5 and 9 and part of entry for December 31 cut out. The cut out portion of the last entry was copied on the page of accounts by G[eorge?] P[arsons?] L[athrop?], March 22, [18]74. Photocopy in Box 1 or Microfilm (BANC FILM 72/236 z, reel 1) to be used in place of the original which has been withdrawn from use because of its fragility.
