Scope and Content Note

1852-1853 diaries describe voyage around the Horn, arrival and life in San Francisco, Marysville and Oakland. 1862 diary was kept while living in Oakland and contains few entries. Also included is a transcript, made by Mrs. Walsworth, of voyage diaries.
 

Miscellaneous reminiscences, Mss. of writings and poems, clippings of articles and poems by Mrs.Walsworth; miscellaneous papers, programs, etc., 1845-1893.
