Scope and Content Note
The British catalogues, 1703-1930, constitute the reference collection of the English bookseller, Frank Marcham. An illustrated
index to the British catalogues to 1900 is available. The British Museum's
List of Catalogues of English Book Sales, 1676-1900 has been annotated with UCLA's holdings, and location of each item within the collection.
The Library now subscribes to Sotheby's and Christie's auction catalogues.
Of American catalogues, there are files for Libbie, 1885-1919; Henkels, 1898-1935; Parke-Bernet, and others.
Many book auction catalogues are also catalogued in the Rare Book Catalog, Department of Special Collections.
