consists of correspondence, transcripts and copies of documents and manuscripts, clippings,and photographs regarding Westergaard's
career, research, and writings.

Biography
Waldemar Christian Westergaard was born February 4, 1882 in Buffalo, North Dakota; attended University of North Dakota, University
of California at Berkeley, Cornell, Stockholm University; specialized in Scandinavian and European history; taught at Pomona
College and UCLA (1925-1949); died in 1963.
Scope and Content
Collection consists of correspondence, transcripts and copies of documents and manuscripts, clippings,and photographs regarding
the career, research, and writings of Westergaard. Research materials from Danish and Swedish archives concerning 16th-19th
century Danish, Scandinavian, Russian and Danish West Indian history.
