Abstract: Iwasaki was born in 1871 in Japan. A native of Tottori, he arrived in the United States in 1903. He had a small business in Southern California and was interned in a relocation camp after the outbreak of World War II. Collection consists of 15 volumes of Shuko Iwasaki's personal diaries for the years 1917, 1918, 1920-28, 1931 and 1940-42. The diaries relate to family activities and include household accounts, often detailed, and political or social events are in the form of clippings inserted into the volumes. Collection is in Japanese.
