Description
Correspondence, reports, writings, and research notes, relating to U.S. Army internal security measures during World War II directed against U.S. citizens of Japanese, Italian and German extraction. Used as research material for the book by E. N. Barnhart and Jacobus tenBroek, Prejudice, War and Constitution (Berkeley, 1955). Includes a photocopy of a typscript study, entitled Internal Security in World War II: Military Programs of Civilian Control. Digital copies of select records also available at https://digitalcollections.hoover.org.
