Scope and Content

Samuel G. Vázquez was involved in various military operations in Mexico particularly during the period 1911-1913. These papers, purchased from his widow, Mrs Bertha W. Vázquez, June 2, 1972, include documents from Pascual Orozco, Francisco I. Madero, Edward F. Hay, Venustiano Carranza, Pablo González, Emilio Salinas and others; orders of the day and payroll records; a description of the battle at the Hacienda of San Felipe in 1913; clippings and photographs.
Broadsides and other printed materials, some photographs and maps were removed for separate cataloging.
