1903 Born, New York City.
1926 Graduated from Princeton.
1927 and 1931 Asso. editor Time mag.; also asso. ed. and contbr. New Yorker mag.
1931-1940 Motion Picture Writer, with various studios.
1941- Author of novels, including: The Duel in the Sun, Day of the Conquerors, Distant Drums, Man from the Alamo, The Moonlighter, and The Treasure of Pancho Villa. Home, Hollister California.
