    Scope and Content

Research notes and final proofs for Thematic catalog of a manuscript collection of eighteenth-century Italian instrumental music in the University of California Music Library (Berkeley, 1963). Minnie Elmer was joint author with Vincent Duckles of the catalog. The collection is frequently referred to as the Tartini collection, representing as it does the new school of violin performance begun under the influence of Giuseppe Tartini (1692-1770), composer and musical director at the Basilica of St. Anthony, Padua, Italy.
