Abstract: Predominantly photographs or reproduction prints relating to Heyneman's own art and the works of other artists. Images include
works of John Singer Sargent, snapshots of his home and studio on Tite St. (London), and views of the artist at work. Also
featured is the studio and of Charles Furse, at 33 Tite St. (1963.021--ALB). Sketches and 2 paintings by Arthur Putnam are
also present.

portraits and some views related to World War I work at California House and Kitchener House, for example) remain within the
files of the Julie Helen Heyneman papers (BANC MSS C-H 152) and were not transferred into this pictorial collection.

Scope and Content
Unsigned sketches, chiefly rough or preliminary pencil sketches, often on scratch paper or fragments of sheets. Putnam’s initials
or partial signature appear on just one sheet. One work (a dock scene) is signed by E.N. Treadwell. Sketches presumed to be
Putnam’s include animal studies, human figures, rough sketches of sculptural or architectural monuments, and a few sketches
of small buildings or room interiors. Photographic prints are of animal skulls: a saber tooth tiger and unknown.

Source of attribution unknown, but materials were presumably received with the Heyneman papers grouped as Putnam material.
