Scope and Content

Primarily pictures taken in the Philippines, 1899-circa 1920, including views of Manila and of the Negritos of Luzon, and many pictures relating to education in California and the Philippines. Also includes photos relating to Bakersfield (and other) schools and teachers, agriculture, Parker family pictures, and miscellaneous views of California, 1906-1920. In addition are portraits and pictures relating to the biographies of William and Luther Parker.
Some photos correspond to incidents in William Miles Parker's published autobiography: Incidents along the trail of life with Bill Ranger.
