Abstract: This collection consists principally of incoming correspondence to Eugene McNerney from a wide variety of figures in U.S.
public and military life during the late 1940's to the early 1970's. The letters were generally written in response to letters
or cards sent to the writer by McNerney, a retired U.S. Marine Corps major residing in Huntington Beach, California, for whom
such correspondence appears to have been a substantial hobby.
