Description
This collection consists principally of
incoming correspondence to Eugene McNerney from a wide variety of figures in U.S. public and
military life during the late 1940's to the early 1970's. The letters were generally written
in response to letters or cards sent to the writer by McNerney, a retired U.S. Marine Corps
major residing in Huntington Beach, California, for whom such correspondence appears to have
been a substantial hobby.
