Also includes correspondence of George Crothers and notecards for Crother's FOUNDING OF THE LELAND STANFORD JUNIOR UNIVERSITY (1932).

Orrin Leslie Elliott was an English instructor at Cornell University and first registrar of Stanford University (1891-1925; emeritus 1925-1940).
