Description
Letters, clippings and other materials sent by Lawrence Clark Powell, librarian and author, to Frances Ring, editor of Westways magazine.
Background
Frances Ring was an editor of Westways, the magazine of the Automobile Club of Southern California. Lawrence Clark Powell was associated with UCLA for much of his career, holding the position of University Librarian from 1944-1961. He later moved to Arizona, wrote prolifically about the Southwest, and was a frequent contributor to Westways.
