Background
John Hermann Eggers was born on August 10, 1884 in Alameda, California; BS, UC Berkeley, 1909; became a mining engineer, heading many operations in California and Nevada; served as president of the Mining Association of Southern California, 1950-59; he died on January 9, 1959 in Inglewood, California.
