Biographical/Historical Sketch
The space tree is a redwood tree planted on the Stanford University campus that was grown from a seed flown aboard the U.S.
Space Shuttle Challenger, July 29 to August 6, 1985.
Records consist of certificate of authenticity, 1985, two photographs of the seedling tree, map showing campus location, and
