Biographical/Historical Sketch
Irene Hardy earned her AB in 1885 at Antioch College (California) and taught English in Oakland High School. She was on the
faculty of the English department at Stanford, 1894-1901. Her published work included ELEMENTARY COMPOSITION EXERCISES (1890)
and POEMS (1901). She died in 1922.
