Collection Scope and Content Summary
This collection comprises over 1,800 color and black and white posters created by various administrative offices, academic
departments, and organizations on the University of California, Irvine (UCI) campus from the 1960s to the present. The posters
advertise programs and events held on campus and provide information on course offerings as well as academic and student support
services. The major academic units represented include the Schools of the Arts, Biological Sciences, Engineering, Humanities,
Physical Sciences, Social Ecology, and Social Sciences.
Collection Arrangement
The collection is arranged alphabetically by the subject of the poster, or by the originating campus unit. Within each folder
the posters are organized by year, with undated posters on top.

Many of the posters were removed from the records of their office of origin and added to this collection. Contextual information
can be found in the corresponding archival collections, vertical files, and campus publications.
