Included are a letter from Lucie Stern, Oct. 11, 1944; two letters regarding his editorship of the directory of Stanford mineral scientists, 1958; and a copy of Moran's letter regarding Charles Field and Richard Hotaling, 1990.

William R. Moran earned his A.B. in geology at Stanford University in 1942.
