Scope and Content of Collection

The Local History Collection includes images of historical interest for the Conejo Valley, and some nearby areas of Ventura County, from the 1890s to the present. These show historic buildings, ranches, commercial operations, land use, public events, and local pioneer families. The bulk of the photographs were taken by amateur or unknown photographers. A database indexing all of the images is available in the Special Collections Reading Room.
