Summary: Collection consists of Dulley's diploma for his BA degree earned
at Stanford University, 1897; and a bound copy of the Dulley family history written and
compiled by Charles John Dulley, 1933. The family history includes photographs of family
members and photographic reproductions of documents, 1863-1893. The history focuses on
Mary Beitler Dulley, Civil War nurse. Others mentioned include her son John Beitler
Dulley who settled in Oregon in 1850; and her son Charles D. Dulley, an engineer who
worked in Brazil between 1861 and his death in 1879 and who became acquainted there with
John Casper Branner. Mary Dulley relocated to Palo Alto with her daughter-in-law and
grandchildren in 1893; her grandsons Charles John Dulley and Frederick Louis Dulley both
earned their AB degrees at Stanford in 1897.
