Scope and Content of Collection
Collection contains two ledgers with computer-generated statistics about Isla Vista. The first is a demographic survey from
1974, including statistics on living arrangements, pets, forms of transportation, and taxes. The second ledger contains statistics
on incidents involving the Isla Vista police during the June 1970 riots. The June 1970 riots, sometimes referred to as Isla
Vista III, were the last of three sets of riots. IV III was most notable for the many cases of police brutality that occurred
during the week of protest.
