Jesse Hilton Stuart, author of short stories, novels, and poetry, was born August 8, 1906, in W-Hollow, Kentucky. He received
a B.A. from Lincoln Memorial University. His works include:

The Kingdom Within: a Spiritual Autobiography,
Men of the Mountains,
The World of Jesse Stuart: Selected Poems, among others.
Stuart passed away February 17, 1984.
Virginia Perry Wilson (January 5, 1905-June 1, 1989) was a Napa, California school teacher and collector of Stuart's works.
This small collection, assembled by Virginia Perry Wilson, contains correspondence and works by and about Jesse Stuart, author
of short stories, novels, and poetry.
