1958 Lawrence Peck Rockwood is born in Trenton, New Jersey
1958-1968 Lived in Germany, Turkey, and France as his father traveled for the military
1968 Moved to Gainesville, Florida
1977-1983 Served as a substance abuse and behavior science counselor for the military in Germany
1984-1986 Enrolled in graduate school at the University of Florida
1990 Became a counterintelligence officer
1994 Conducted an unauthorized investigation into human rights violations at the prisons in Port-au-Prince, Haiti
1995 Was court-martialed and discharged from the military
2001 Denied Writ of Certiorari by Supreme Court
2005 Received his PhD in American Diplomatic History from the University of Florida
2007 His book, Walking Away from Nuremburg: Just War and the Doctrine of Command Responsibility in the American Military Profession, is published
