The Charls E. Walker papers consist of material related to Charls E. Walker's professional life in business and government. They include biographical material, correspondence, memoranda, speeches, writings, and printed matter reflecting his long career in banking, and his tenure as Under Secretary (1969-1973) and Deputy Secretary of the Treasury (1973).
Of particular interest is material related to his career in the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, and his close relationship to the business and academic community of Texas, reflected in numerous appearances and speeches before academic and business groups, found in the SPEECHES AND WRITINGS series.
