Formerly Dean of the Law School and University Provost at the University of Chicago, Gerhard Casper became the 9th president
of Stanford University in 1992.
Collection includes press coverage of Gerhard Casper's appointment as Stanford University's ninth president, 1992, his resignation
in 1999, and a press conference on April 15, 1997, where he announced the campaign to raise a $200 million endowment for graduate
fellowships.
