Abstract: Administrative records and surrogate research materials created and/or collected by Agua Caliente Cultural Museum staff members
in preparation for the Spa History exhibit. Administrative records include drafts of exhibit texts and notes. Research materials
include surrogate newspaper articles, photographs, negatives, and correspondence collected from various sources. This exhibit
outlined the history of the Agua Caliente Hot Spring and explained the legislative and political background behind the development
of the Mineral Spring Parcel. Materials created and/or collected between June 1994 and June 1995."

Biography / Administrative History
Reproductions of historical materials, ephemera, and exhibit text drafts created and/or collected between June 1994 and June
1995 by Agua Caliente Cultural Museum staff members in preparation for the Spa History exhibit. The exhibit was placed on
display at the Spa Hotel in downtown Palm Springs and summarized the history of the Agua Caliente Hot Spring and business
development surrounding this Tribal resource.
Scope and Content of Collection
Administrative records and surrogate research materials created and/or collected by Agua Caliente Cultural Museum staff members
in preparation for the Spa History exhibit. Materials include photographs, ephemera, news articles, and exhibit text drafts.
Some photographs obtained from the Spa Hotel; some surrogate research materials, including historical correspondence, press
releases, and news articles may have been obtained from the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. Created and/or collected
between June 1994 and June 1995.
