Description
This manuscript is a biography of Abel Stearns, including typewritten copies of significant correspondence. Written as a master's thesis by Pearl Pauline Stamps, the work begins with Stearns' early life, and describes his political career.
Background
Pearl Pauline Stamps attended Pomona College and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1924. In 1925, she received her Master of Arts degree in History for the University of California, Berkeley. Her thesis committee chair was Herbert E. Bolton.
