    Biography

    Gerston received his AB at UC Berkeley and his MA and Ph.D at UC Davis; professor of political science, San Jose State University; has been concerned with issues of regional government, highway travel, light rail, and traffic and housing; wrote Politics in the golden state: the California connection (c.1984), The deregulated society (c.1988), American government: politics, process and policies (1993), and Public policy making: process and principles (c.1997).

    Collection consists of materials concerning the history of the California Democratic Council. Includes original correspondence of CDC president Gerald N. Hill, clippings, and other printed items, ephemera, and photocopies of letters and papers.
