Contains correspondence, mostly to and from Bertha Blount McFarland, relating to missionary work and life in Thailand, Java, and Cambodia; notebooks on Thailand and Cambodia by various westerners; an oral history on Rev. S.J. Smith's life in Thailand; writings on the customs of and missionary work in Thailand; clippings and greeting cards from Thailand. Also includes a small amount of family papers for the Blount family, including the American Civil War diary of James Gooding Blount. Photographs of the Blount family have been transferred to the Pictorial collection.
