Scope and Content of Collection

The collection contains correspondence, lists, and samples, mostly from the Western Builder's Supply Co. of San Francisco, ca. 1920s-1930s, and two letters (TLS) to George Washington Smith, Santa Barbara architect, re architectural and design catalogs and brochures being sent, 1922 and 1928. Related trade catalogs, also collected by Knowles, have been cataloged separately.
